2024 REBRANDING

While the year may be ending, First & Main is only beginning to grow. Soon, Blacksburg's premier shopping and entertainment destination will undergo significant structural changes, including the addition of housing complexes, transforming it into a comprehensive lifestyle center. Through all of these changes, PRISM has played an instrumental role conducting community surveys to gauge brand perception and communicating construction details to the public. This is just the opening chapter to evolutionary growth for First & Main

GRAND OPENING OF SHEETZ

This year, First & Main excitedly announced the addition of Sheetz, a 24/7 convenience store and gas station to the complex. PRISM captured every milestone from conception to grand opening, showcasing Sheetz in their 2024 commercial on First & Main. Sheetz is now a bustling and vibrant addition, enhancing the complex's appeal and bringing in excited customers.

2024 FIRST & MAIN COMMERCIAL

This year, a few talented Prismites utilized cutting-edge technologies such as drones and high-definition cameras to produce the 2024 First & Main Commercial. The commercial highlights a few of the over 20 tenants residing at First & Main. The commercial showcased the exceptional blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment options that make First & Main a premier lifestyle destination. The campaign is featured across all First & Main social media platforms and was showcased at Virginia Tech's Big Event, further underscoring the dynamic community at First & Main.

IMG PARTNERSHIP —> VT ATHLETICS

To promote IMG's sponsorship of VT Athletics through First & Main, PRISM began developing a way to connect the premier shopping center to the expansive Virginia Tech community. In the spring of 2018, PRISM introduced a new slogan for First & Main, "The Official Entertainment Destination of Virginia Tech Athletics." This slogan campaign solidified First & Main as one of VT Athletics' primary sponsors and provided more ad space for PRISM to work with. Through established advertising strategies, including a social media campaign, ads in Cassell Coliseum, and banners during Virginia Tech's Big Event, PRISM's promotion of First & Main's new slogan transformed the premier shopping center into a highly desired destination for Virginia Tech Athletics fans and all things Hokie.

2014 REBRANDING

One of the first projects PRISM tackled for First & Main was rebranding. It was imperative to get the presence of the shopping center out into the community, so PRISM worked on a new logo. After PRISM designed a number of options, First & Main turned to the community to let them decide which option they preferred. Almost 70% of the hundreds of community members surveyed liked the current logo and tagline. After a few final tweaks, the logo was officially implemented on all First & Main materials.

Grand Opening of Frank's CineBowl & GrillE

As First & Main’s first anchor store, Frank’s CineBowl & Grille needed a grand opening for the theatre. PRISM developed everything for the opening from the initial plan to executing the Red Carpet event outside the theatre. So far, this event has been one of the most successful ones that the center has put on and succeeded in creating a lot of buzz about First & Main.

First & Main wanted to wrap a 40-foot bus that would drive around campus and the town for a year, so PRISM created a one-of-a-kind bus wrap advertising the shopping center. The creative team got to work in May creating multiple design options. By mid-September, the final design was determined and finally unveiled in October 2015. This bus wrap received a 2016 Muse Creative Award, which recognizes individuals and companies in the marketing, advertising, design, photography, and digital fields. The bus can still be seen around Blacksburg and has proven to be one of the most unique buses in the community.

IMG TAGLINE CHALLENGE

GRADUATION GIVEAWAY WEEK

In the week leading up to Virginia Tech’s spring 2018 graduation ceremonies, PRISM took this opportunity for First & Main to support the Virginia Tech community by hosting a social media giveaway series. A team of PRISMites collaborated with First & Main management to feature prizes from Bull & Bones, Sake House, Avellinos, Anytime Fitness, and Alumni Hall. PRISMites executed this plan from start to finish to ensure that all of the winners received their prizes. With these five posts alone, PRISM’s strategic social media campaign earned First & Main’s social media accounts a new peak reach of over 9,000 impressions. Not only was this a successful marketing campaign for First & Main, but it was also a way for the premiere shopping center to give back to the Virginia Tech community and celebrate the spring 2018 graduating class.
