In Fall 2020, Virginia Tech and PRISM officially announced the creation of the PRISM Alumni Advisory Council, or PRAAC for short, as the 19th official advisory board within the Pamplin College of Business, and the only interdisciplinary young advisory board in Virginia Tech. Since the first group of “PRISMites” graduated from Virginia Tech in 2008, PRAAC has cultivated an incredible alumni network across industries, roles, and locations, with PRISM being a unique and powerful connector.
The PRAAC mission is to engage current PRISM students and fellow alumni in a mutually beneficial partnership - generating meaningful connections and helping foster a community of today’s managers, creatives, strategists, and analysts that can advise the next generation of marketing mavens. PRAAC supports PRISM through student and career development opportunities, connecting our 15+ classes of alumni, sharing and supporting internship and full-time job opportunities, standing up a scholarship fund and Giving Day support, and more. PRAAC board members (see below) all have this in common: they are energized by helping give back to support PRISM!
PRISM would like to thank four of our inaugural PRAAC members, who helped to spearhead the board structure and initiatives beginning in 2020. Tara Petrucci (’12), Brett Simone (’15), Briana Augenreich (’15), and Kelsey (Stoner) Miller ('20) served a two-year term and helped grow the advisory board to 11 members during their tenure. PRISM is grateful for their dedication and ongoing passion to support a bright future for PRISM students.
