PRISM 2023 Recap
As Virginia Tech enters a new year and semester, we want to take a moment and reflect on the past year. 2023 was full of achievements, growth, and memorable moments, which we want to highlight and share with you! Together, we've created a year to remember, shaping the legacy of PRISM.
Giving Day'23
This past Giving Day was a huge success! In typical PRISM fashion, we won not only Giving Day, but also Pamplin's most donors. These two accomplishments allowed us to unlock $20,000 worth of funds. We want to thank the support and help from our alumni, as your impact aided in our success. Looking ahead, we hope to supersede last year's results for Giving Day'24.
PRISM Trips - Richmond & NYC
We are thankful for the opportunity to take these trips, as it allows our members to explore different career paths while leveraging new skills and feedback received from professionals.

We Won a Telly!
This past year PRISM received a bronze Telly, making it our 12th Telly to date! Not only does this help establish PRISM’s role as Virginia Tech’s premiere ad agency, but it also demonstrates how we compete with other industry leaders.
A Bittersweet Goodbye to our PRISM Grads
As May rolled in, we all anticipated the bittersweet goodbyes to our seniors as they graduated. We celebrated with our Senior Brunch and were blown away by all of the senior posters created by our amazing and talented graphics team. It was a great way to close out the spring semester and show our gratitude to our grads. While it was sad to see them go, it is always a joy to watch PRISMites flourish as they enter a new chapter of their lives.
Big Welcome to New Exec
While we were sad to see our seniors and exec graduate, we are excited with our new exec team! We warmly welcomed our CEO, Emily Bookstaver, CMO, Kathleen Finn, and CCO, Claudine Luo. They have led us well and we could not be more proud of them!
Exec Trip to LA
In September, the exec team journeyed to Los Angeles, collaborating with alumni at companies like Disney, Google, and Meta. Some new opportunities and developments are underway and we can’t wait to share them with you!
Office Redo
Our office got a glow up! With an eye for design and innovation, a team of PRISMites repainted and redecorated the PRISM office in Pamplin. We are so excited for a fresh start in a space meant for community, creativity, and collaboration.
Recruitment & Our New JPs
This fall, our recruitment team orchestrated a highly successful recruitment campaign, resulting in one of the most fruitful seasons in our organization's history with 224 applicants.
The JP project this year was for our new client and fellow VT alum, Haden Riddick and his luxury shoe company, Riddick. We were all blown away by the creativity, tenacity, and drive of our JPs during their presentations in December.
After a successful JP period, we are thrilled to welcome 23 new members to the PRISM family. We eagerly anticipate their success as they join the machine!
Dean’s Presentation
Towards the end of the fall semester, we had our quarterly presentation with Dean Sarker. Pamplin’s new dean. It was a presentation to remember, especially when we were able to show off our new VR headset and discuss the opportunities we have with the rise of the metaverse and AI. We look forward to working alongside Dean Sarker and exploring advancement opportunities for Pamplin.
Holiday Party
After an eventful 2023, we were able to close it out with good food and good company with the annual holiday party! It was a fantastic way to end the fall semester and celebrate our members and their hard work.
